Lykam’s Monsters
Lykam's First Monster Hunting Guide is an A-Z combination monster book & coloring book fully compatible with HM4e*.
When three of us friends decided to create a derivative work of HM4e* we knew we needed a really basic player book, a simple starting monster book, and a GM book covering at least basic combat. Our plan was (and still is) to eventually box them for sale so players & GMs can have starter sets. Mykal and I got together and brainstormed the idea of an A-Z guide that he wanted to call "Baby's first Monster Book", which I toyed with but asked if we could just name it Lakym's instead (but Lykam's sounded better). He said "sure" but what he really wanted eventually if a booklet for each terrain type so GMs could just carry what they needed and have everything for an adventure at their fingertips. Our plan was to start those next year as we need art, but first to create the A-Z guide using what public domain art we could find and attempt to build up funding for art. Well, he is no longer with us and this book is dedicated to the memory of our errant knight Mykal Antczak, who is now jousting on another plane of existence.
